Dead Frog found in students primary school mid-day meal in Dilari, Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
After 23 deaths of school children about ten days ago in Chapra, Indian state of Bihar, in the mid-day meal tragedy, now a dead frog has been found in food served at primary school in Dilari, Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The fresh incident has prompted related authorities to order for an inquiry.
On Thursday four students fell ill after eating “Khichdi” in the primary school in Moradabad. Similar incident was also reported the same day from a school in Chitrakoot.
Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Minister Ram Govind Chowdhury has asked district magistrates of both the districts to probe the matter and take action against the guilty found.
Chowdhury added, the teachers and cooks are responsible to maintain the minimum required quality of the mid-day meals served to students of their respective schools and FIR will be lodged if complaint found against them. Also, disciplinary action will be taken against the Basic Siksha Adhikari (BSA) and block education officers in the matter.
In another incident an insect was found in the mid-day meal of a primary school in Mathura’s Mant Tehsil area. However, the food was not served.
