RJD Chief Lalu Yadav says Rahul Gandhi perfect for next prime minister.
Former Chief Minister of Indian state of Bihar and RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav said on Friday the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is fit as the next prime minister of the country as he has all the good qualities required to be a bright leader.
He added the young Gandhi has nothing negative about him and if given an opportunity he will become a good PM of India.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal chief also said he would do everything needed to bar Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi from becoming the next PM of the country.
Yadav clarified his support for the Congress that the party is secular. However, he too differed from the recent comments of Congress leaders on poverty who said a meal can cost Rs 12 and Rs 5 in Mumbai and Delhi respectively.
Yesterday, the party distanced with the leaders on the meal comment.
In context to the government school mid-day meal tragedy that killed 23 students in Bihar he blamed the present Chief Minister of the state for “playing with the lives of school students.” He held the Nitish Kumar government responsible for it and said, “Whatever bad happens in Bihar is heaped on the opposition parties. This is very unfortunate.”
